Antique French Embroidered Handkerchief with Valenciennes Lace Border

This is a mid 19th century embroidered fine linen handkerchief with a hand made Valenciennes lace border. BF monogram to one corner. Very fine whitework is in part appliqued. Needlelace fillings to the embroidery. 

It measures 37 cms square with a 8 cms lace flounced border. 

Soft old white colour. There are several small pinholes and tiny tears, probably due the combination of very fine linen and heavy embroidery, nothing too obvious.
