Antique late 19th Century Embroidered Handkerchief with Coronet

This is a fine 19th Century linen handkerchief with an NL monogram and the coronet of a Marquis. 

It measures 41 cms square with a 8 cms lace border. 

 Whitework embroidery has been appliqued on to a very fine linen ground. Late 18th Century Mechlin lace has been hand sewn to the border.  Pale ivory, the embroidery a slightly creamier colour than the linen. Embroidery shows trailing vine leaves with a flower garland.

A few tiny pin holes (see photo 7), otherwise good condition.
