This is a small Brussels Duchesse bobbin lace handkerchief with 'Mary' embroidered to one corner. 

It has been laundered and is now white in colour. Many very fine darns ( photo 5 ), beautifully sewn and interesting in their own right - this was obviously a precious handkerchief. Apart from this good condition.
