Antique Late 17th Century Venetian Needle Lace Border

This is a short fragment of fine linen Ventian lace border dating from the late 17th Century. Natural pale ivory colour, it has raised padded crescents with picot frills.

There is a neat join, hardly discernable, 17 cms. from one end. Several of the padded crescents are a little worn, apart from this good condition.
