Antique Edwardian Collar - 17th Century Reticella Lace

This is an Edwardian cotton muslin collar made with a 17th Century Reticella lace border. An interesting case of 'repurposing', this little collar is beautifully hand stitched with 5 Dorset buttons at back opening.

The original 17th Century mat border measures 59cms x 56cms. It has been carefully cut down one straight edge to form the back opening, enabling it to be restored to original shape and condition if required. The lace is a mid cream colour, the fine muslin is pale ivory. 

Front neck to bottom eedge measures 31 cms, neck measures 35 cms.
