Antique 19th Century French Cotton Nightdress with Pleated Collar

This is a late 19th century French cotton nightdress. It has a  pleated collar and cuffs with  gathered frill to front opening,  reminiscent of a Regency gentlemans shirt.   Made from fine crisp cotton and all finely handstitched. There is an embroidered 'JM' monogram to the right of the front button opening.

This is the second of two cotton nightdresses that I am offering, bought in Paris, both with 'JM' monogram and obviously belonging to the same lady.

Neck measures 13.5ins, shoulder to hem measures 50.5ins.

Excellent clean condition.
