Antique 18th Century Lampas Silk circa 1745-70

This is a loom width of 18th Century lampas silk ( probably Lyon), brocaded with silk and metal thread.

Fragile condition - there are small holes and worn areas to each vertical edge (see particularly photos 10 and 11), ideally this should be stabilised. Colours are a little faded.

There is a similar silk piece in the collection of the V&A Museum, London. Museum no T.115-1912
