This is a very fine and soft 19th century cotton lawn handkerchief, with an 18th century Mechlin lace border. There is a hand embroidered BM monogram to one corner.

Original pale ivory colour. Excellent condition.

This handkerchief, along with two others that are listed with the same monogram, came from the collection of a French family.
