These are a pair of striped silk shoes dating from around 1780. They have a pointed tongue and a high slim heel. There is some writing on the inner vamp lining, possibly the name of the owner.
They measure 23cms long, 11.5cms high in total. Heel measures 6.5cms.
These are in very poor condition. The striped silk is discoloured and tattered. Silk satin on latchet is shredded.
