This is a French 19th century embroidered handkerchief with a design of grapes and trailing vines. There are some needle lace fillings and a border of handmade Valenciennes lace. Original pale ivory colour.

There are some very fine darns to the embroidery and the lawn has several tiny pinholes. Lace is a little worn at edges in places
