This is a length of mid 18th century Mechlin Bobbin Lace. Very long with no joins and finished both ends, the last 33cms of each end has a slightly smaller scale design. 

Measures 570cms x 8.5cms. Apart from a few pale brown age marks it is in good condition.

This came from a small family collection and has a hand written label attached "May 1906 Number 17 Brussels 1750. Given me at Venice by Mrs Bowes-Walsh, CCR's aunt"
