This is a wonderful early19th Century Venice souvenir handkerchief. Large size, made from a fine soft cotton lawn with a Valenciennes border and an embroidered Doges Palace with gondeliers in one corner.
Slightly less than good condition with several fine darns and pin holes. The needlelace fillings to the Doges palace windows are broken.
