The French arrived in Hanoi in 1873. Rue Paul Bert was at the centre of the French commercial district with French architecture, an opera house and department stores, including Poinsard & Veyret.
Folded length as shown measures 25 cms x 83 cms. Actual length of cotton 90 cms. The printed end has attractive crown illustration. Slight creasing from storage and browning to edges, apart from this good condition. Perfect for framing.
