This is a length of early 18th Century lampas silk dating from around 1730. With design of exotic blooms in greens and pinks with silver metallic thread. Blue satin ground.
Good condition with vivid colours.
There is a loom width of 53cms, length is 54cms to one selvedge and 118cms to the other selvedge. There is an additional small fragment pieced on (not included in the measurements).
There is an old Philips auction house label, sale number 276, lot 209.
