This is a loom width of 18th Century brocaded lampas silk dating from around 1760-70. It is woven with silver and gold metallic thread. Colours bright, metallic threads untarnished and still sparkle when they catch the light.
Condition excellent but there are fragments pieced on to top and bottom corners, and some vertical crease marks.
