This is a 19th century pattern book of hand embroidery, from E.C.Brooke, Whitehouse, Belfast, Ireland. Comprising 8 pink cotton pages each bound with pink silk ribbon. Pink patterned card covers. Card bound with ribbon ties. The sixteen sides are filled with embroidered samples, mainly whitework borders, but also examples of monograms and coronets. There is a small handwritten label describing service offered "The work is done on Embroidery Cumbrie" etc etc.
Condition of interior pages good, card covers are worn, torn and creased. The whole is now held together by one remaining ribbon tie.
