This is a good length of 18th Century Valenciennes lace border with a scrolling design of lilies and exotic blooms.
There is a join made during manufacture, 48 cms from one end. Although the design is uniform along the length, the first 48 cms is neater and tighter than the remaining 100 cms - probably made by two different lace makers. See photograph 5 for the join.
Antique white colour - this has probably been laundered at some point.
