This is a late 19th /early 20th Century linen alb flounce with angels and religious imagery. North Italian, made at the Scuole professionali femminili in Rome.
There is a repeat of 6 pairs of angels, each displaying a different image. Includes the Christ Child, a Sacred Heart and Christ with the Crown of Thorns. The panel has been cut through the last image, which was a crucifix (it would have been made in the round originally).
Pale ivory colour. It has been cleaned at some point. There are many small repairs but these are only noticeable on close examination.
