This is a collection of Honiton lace motifs from the estate of a lace maker.
Honiton was a 'part lace'. Individual motifs were made separately and then incorporated into a larger piece by a different maker.
The best Honiton lace often featured naturalistic flowers and insects. Here there are ferns, a butterfly and a small flower with attached butterfly.
Pale ivory colour. Good unused condition.
