This is an unused length of French machine lace with original packaging. It has a fascinating design of fire breathing dragons either side of a crest. Most probably made by Dognin & Cie, the earliest and best known French machine lace manufacturer (it came to me along with some labelled Dognin & Cie lace) and may have been a commission.
I haven't taken this packet apart to measure the lace, but estimate it to be around 7 metres long & 3.5cms wide. Excellent unused condition.
