This is a deep flounce of Brussels bobbin applique lace with a handworked droschel net ground. This dates from around 1810 -1820.
Made from linen thread it has a simple charming design of tulips and roses. Pale ivory colour.
This is in excellent condition, most likely unused and finished at both ends. There are just a few minor repairs to the ground and a small dusty mark near the top straight edge.
