This is a very pretty whitework embroidered handkerchief dating from the late 19th century. It has a hand made Valenciennes lace border and an inner band of point de gaze needlelace. Unusual design with roses to each corner and a rose stem with thorns running around the border.
It has been laundered and so the Valenciennes lace has lost it's crispness. There are two tiny pin holes. Apart from this good condition.
