This is a 19th Century hand embroidered handkerchief with a hand made Valenciennes lace edging.
Tiny leaf and flowers embroidered to border with fine needlelace infills. Beautifully designed, the infill line echoing the line on the Valenciennes lace border.
46 cms square including the lace border.
Washed and now off white colour. One small darn (see last photograph), apart from this good condition.
