Whitework embroidered handkerchief with hand made Valenciennes lace border. MP monogram with the Crown of Bulgaria to one corner.
Very finely embroidered border with fleur de lys motifs and needle lace fillings. Valenciennes lace has fleur de lys motifs.
This has been gently laundered and is now an off white colour, apart from this excellent condition, probably unused.
Provenance - Marie Louise, Princess of Bourbon -Parma, Princess of Bulgaria.
This came from the estate of Dr Alexander Eugen, Duke of Wurttemburg (1933-2024). I bought a large collection of handkerchiefs from this estate - more to follow.
