Two hand embroidered handkerchiefs with original designs, and one handkerchief in progress.
Handkerchiefs measure 31 cms square and 28.5 cms square.
This came as part of a family archive of lace that belonged to a Miss Lamb of Sidmouth. She was a Honiton lace maker and there seems to be a family history of needlework. There were several embroidered handkerchiefs (now sold) with a small card reading 'Made by Lady Lamb'. Those handkerchiefs were in the same style as these examples, so I presume they are also made by her. A photograph of Lady Lamb is to be found in the NPG. https://www.npg.org.uk/collections/search/portrait/mw274008/Lady-Lamb
