This is a very fine and soft 19th century cotton lawn handkerchief with an 18th century Valenciennes lace border. There is a hand embroidered BM monogram to one corner.
Original pale ivory colour. Excellent condition.
This handkerchief, along with two others that are listed with the same monogram, were bought in Paris and came from the same French family.
