This is a fine whitework embroidered double pelerine dating from around 1835. Very fine muslin with simple curved sprays to borders. Motifs have pulled thread fillings.
Neck measures 44 cms. Depth at centre back 28.5 cms.
Beautiful elegant shape but slightly less than good condition. There are several worn areas, holes and two small repaired tears - see last 4 photos. Recently laundered, clean with no marks.
