This is a Honiton lace and machine net christening robe dating from the mid 19th Century.
Length, shoulder to hem is 113 cms. Chest approx 41 cms.
It has been laundered and is now off white colour. The ribbon threaded through neckline and waist is a later addition and could be replaced. There are a few broken brides to lace. This will need a lining it if it is to be worn.
