This is an early 20th century French Scaramouche theatrical costume. It is a fairly small size.
There are 4 pieces in all -
A bodice, shaped with a curved, padded chest and stiff muslin ruff with button opening down the back.
There is a red silk lined shoulder cloak, which attaches to the bodice with buttons at each shoulder.
A pair of canvas shoes with label ' Albert Hutin, Chausures pour Theatres, 24, Rue du Rivoli, Paris.' These have been whitened. Length 31 cms.
A pair of breeches with padded bobbles and ribbon bow to each side. These are in poor condition with stain to one side and would benefit from specialist cleaning. Silk ribbon rosettes are shredding. Please request condition photographs.
This is a heavy and bulky item to post overseas so there will be an additional postage charge if you are not in the U.K, approx £40. Please enquire.
